Who we are
TDESK is a customer-service help desk used by online sellers to answer their customers’ messages from marketplaces such as eBay, Amazon, Shopify, Mirakl marketplaces, OnBuy and Fruugo in one place. TDESK is operated by Upperclass Fashions Limited, a company registered in the United Kingdom. The seller using TDESK decides what data is connected and is responsible for it; we process it on the seller’s behalf.
What we collect
- Seller account data: the names, email addresses and sign-in details of the seller’s staff who use TDESK.
- Marketplace data the seller connects: orders (items, prices, refunds, returns, shipping and tracking), buyer names, buyer contact or relay email addresses, delivery addresses, buyer messages, feedback, claims and cases.
- Files attached to messages, and notes the seller’s staff write.
- Technical logs needed to run and secure the service, such as sign-in times and IP addresses.
How we use it
Only to provide the help desk to the seller: showing customer messages with their orders, sending the seller’s replies through the marketplace, and keeping the service secure. We do not sell personal data or use it for advertising. We share it only with the marketplaces the seller connects, the service providers that host TDESK, and, if the seller turns these features on, the machine-translation or AI provider that processes the text of a message to translate it or draft a reply.
Marketplace access
When a seller connects a marketplace by signing in, TDESK receives an access grant from that marketplace, never the seller’s password. The seller can remove it at any time in TDESK or in their marketplace account settings. Tokens and keys are stored encrypted.
Where it is stored and for how long
Data is stored on servers in the European Union (Netherlands) and in the seller’s own cloud file storage. It is kept while the seller uses TDESK and deleted when the seller removes it or closes their account, except that Amazon buyer details are deleted sooner, as described below. When a marketplace tells us a buyer closed their account (for example eBay’s account deletion notices), we erase that buyer’s personal data.
Amazon customer data
When a seller connects an Amazon seller account, TDESK may receive Amazon buyers’ names, delivery and billing addresses, phone numbers and Amazon’s anonymised buyer email addresses with their orders. For this data:
- It is used only to provide customer service for the seller who connected the account: answering the buyer’s messages about their order, returns and claims.
- It is not sold, not used for marketing or advertising, not combined with data from other sellers, and not shared with anyone except as needed to run TDESK for that seller. The stored addresses and phone numbers are never sent to AI or translation providers.
- The buyer details stored with each Amazon order are encrypted in our database with AES-256, and all connections use encryption in transit (HTTPS/TLS).
- It is deleted no later than 30 days after the order is delivered (or, when the delivery date is not known, after the expected delivery or dispatch date). A seller can choose a shorter period. The order number, items and totals are kept so the seller’s earlier conversations still make sense.
- Everyone in a company that stores Amazon buyer details must use two-step sign-in.
Your rights
Buyers and staff can ask to see, correct or delete their personal data. Please contact the seller you dealt with; they will action the request in TDESK. You can also contact us, or complain to your data protection authority (in the UK, the ICO).
Security
Access is limited by role and, if the seller chooses, by marketplace account. Each company’s data is separated from every other company’s in the database. Every connection is encrypted, marketplace tokens and other secrets are encrypted at rest, and staff can protect their accounts with two-step sign-in (required while Amazon buyer details are stored).
